Make Money As A Freelancer On Brybe: 5 Approved Ways

It’s getting harder out there for the freelancers. Between this capitalistic economy, the pandemic, and the fragile physical and mental health of people around the world, it literally takes a village to become a successful freelancer.

Popular platforms don’t help either. The competition has been fearless and in the last two years, the number of freelancers has grown immensely. That only increases the anxiety and the pressure for anyone who likes to make money out of freelancing.

But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. If you’re at the beginning of your journey as a freelancer, we got you covered.

The editors at Brybe have decided to help our freelancers to create better profiles and land clients who can help them achieve their goals.

Let’s start.

1. Make your profile more attractive

We’re sorry to tell you this, but building a freelancing career is a lot like the dating world. There’s a lot of “wooing and spooning”, and a lot of persuasive writing. Just like in the dating world, you need to catch the Buyer’s attention with your talent, experience, and appearance.

Let’s take a look at Stephen’s profile

Stephen is a Google-certified marketer who’s an excellent content creator. We can instantly tell, just by looking at his profile, that he put a lot of effort into making his profile outstanding.

He’s got everything: detailed description, multiple offers, specific categories, clear writing, everything. Stephen even got a video of himself, which is the ultimate way any freelancer can present themselves. A video is highly engaging, and will instantly attract more Buyers to your profile.

Don’t just create your profile at our Marketplace and leave it in the dark - it doesn’t work that way. Just like relationships, you need to put some work into it to see the benefits.

2. Use your description box to make yourself stand out from the competition

The trick is in the description box. More importantly, it’s all about the words you use in this part of your profile.

Check what Stephen wrote in his description box:

There are a few things we need to break down here in order for you to understand and write a good description yourself.

First, he instantly addresses the Buyer’s pain point by asking the question in the first sentence. Notice that he doesn’t use formal language, but informal and for a good reason too - you should write as you talk. After all, those who’ll hire you are people, just like you and me, so you don’t have to sound too formal or academic.

Then, he pursues to tell a bit about himself and what he does. Stephen backs up his statement about “creating content for literally any purpose” with his third paragraph. In this paragraph, he mentions his working experience, background knowledge, additional skills, all things necessary to meet the needs of the Buyers. Last, he mentions what he can actually do - from writing content for websites to writing podcast episodes. Plus, he has a small but significant CTA, when he asks the Buyers to order now. He even created an urgency with this statement, which proves that he is really skillful with words.

Of course, it’s not possible for every profile to look like this. Not all people are equally skilled with words, but you should at least put some effort into it, so the profile is a great resemblance of your work and experience.

3. Create multiple offers

If you’re not using the option of creating multiple Offers, you’re missing out on a lot.

We have decided to give our freelancers an option to offer different types of services for different prices. There are three types of Offers at our Marketplace: Standard, Advanced, and Premium.

Here are Stephen’s Offers:

As you can see, he offers different types of services for different prices. By doing this, you’ll be able to make more money, but also, you’ll increase your credibility as a freelancer. Buyers will see that you’ll value your time differently for different purposes and will make sure to meet your standards.

4. Work on similar projects

If you visit Stephen’s profile, you’ll notice under the description box there’s a Reviews box. This is the place where other Buyers can leave comments and reviews for the work of the freelancer.

The trick is to get hired by Buyers in the same niche or industry. By working on similar projects on our site, you’ll increase your chances of getting hired. Having relevant working experience is a plus, but collaborating with Buyers from our site is even better.

Stephen, for example, is a professional content manager and copywriter. The easiest way for him to get hired by new clients is to work for clients who need their services. You can do the same for yourself, and expand your portfolio by working on similar projects.

5. Focus on increasing customers’ satisfaction

Last, but not least. When you’re working as a freelancer, your reputation is all you got. Even if you’re a beginner, you shouldn’t think of yourself as someone who can do just about anything and get away with it. You need to focus on providing top-notch quality service for your clients.

Why is this so important?

Networking.

When you’re just starting out in this world, the connections you’ll make are going to make the difference between being a successful freelancer or one who’s doing this out of boredom. Word of mouth is crucial in the freelancing world. By doing more for your clients, you’ll exceed their expectations. Now, many people will tell you to never do something for free if you’re good at it, but at the end of the day, you should be the judge of that. You never know what one nice good deed can do for your career.

And that’s it!
