Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro, or Alejandro Sanz as his fans know him, is a Spanish guitarist and singer-songwriter, born in 1968, in Madrid, Spain. Alejandro comes from a musical family — his father knew how to play the guitar.
When he was 16 years old, Alejandro left school and decided to build his musical career. In 1989, he recorded his first solo song. Two years later, he released his first album named Living Fast. In the next few years, he recorded other albums, all equally successful.
In 2005, after his successful collaboration with Shakira on the single La Tortura, Alejandro gained a worldwide recognized reputation. Although Alejandro remained faithful to his original flamenco-infused melodies, for his album in 2015, he included some funk, soul, and reggae.
