Antón Álvarez Alfaro, known as C. Tangana is quite successful as a solo artist, and also a leading singer of the Agorazein crew, his band. He started as a rap singer under his now-famous alias in 2005. That same year, his popularity grew exponentially when many videos of him rapping went viral. The band, Agorazein, was formed in 2011 by him and some of his closest friends. 2011 was a successful year for him and his crew — they released their first album, named C.Tangana. His career took a different path in 2016 when he signed a record deal with Warner Chappell Music. Tangana’s success is associated with Rosalia’s success, his then-girlfriend. This success was followed by signing a contract with Sony Music Entertainment. Soon, he started receiving awards for his tremendous talent, like Best New Artist of The Year in 2017. In early 2021, Spanish rapper C. Tangana released, according to many fans, his best song, "El madrileño.” The song has a modern R&B and Latin pop vibe, but traditional flamenco, tango, rumba, and bossa nova rhythm perfectly complement modern production and autotune.
